What is Psychosis Really?



So as I've perceived psychosis in many different shapes and forms, the most common traits are:

-it's high stress

-it's a negative experience

-it goes together with high anxiety

-it goes together with fear

-it goes together with surreal thinking

-it goes together with high level of negative fantasizing

-it is unrealistic and there are unrealistic and illogical connections made and there are scary convictions and theories that go through your mind

-there is an amount of life threatening situation for at least yourself going on since you totally forget to take care of yourself

-it is difficult to get out of it yourself without med's or even herbs or supplements, because of the negative thinking

-it can be life threatening in a sense that you can feel your real life is suddenly at danger and you can self harm by accident or do something irrational out of fear and extreme high (bodily or mental) stress

-it can go together with suicidal thinking patterns

-it can happen after a nightmare and a sudden shock of waking up


Causes


-it can happen after periods of bad sleeping

-it can happen after periods of high depression (it can happen after heartbreak too or struggling under high pressure)

-it can happen after the use of certain drugs, for example psychedelics (bad trip)

-it can happen indirectly through your PMDD/PMDS symptoms as a woman (psychological symptoms of PMS, pre menstrual syndrome, the psychological disorder is called pre menstrual dysphoric syndrome/disorder)

-being closed up or locked up for too long


How to deal with it?


-Medication

-Herbs and Supplements to calm yourself down

-Take a shower or bath

-Wash your head and face

-Take supplements to fall asleep and rest

-Don't take your thoughts and convictions too seriously

-Don't connect weird thoughts to reality even if they seem totally possible to you and totally reasonable it can be that your thoughts are flawed at that point, because of your high stress and high imagination

-You can write your thoughts down if you are not feeling awkward about it, you can also make art out of it, but usually the things you might think are so far out of the ordinary you actually feel awkward about sharing it with anyone

-Eat healthy, eat something you like, eat something sweet, sweet stuff is actually comfort food in some way for real

-Open a window, go to a balcony/garden or have a small walk outside just for fresh air
