Yeah so I was thinking the other day about the Mary Symbol, why is it so prominent in christianity? ANd why is it the only female principle in Christianity? I feel it is actually devastating to live up to Mary or live like a Mary, and at the same time have a sexual relationship...it is the hide and seek game constantly...play Mary all the time...
I don't really know, the reality is the Virgin, Virgo, it is not Mary, it is the Virginal that is the story..it is also in other cultures evident, and also outside the christianity. There needs to be a better Christian model that can resemble a woman that made sense.
I cannot understand how come mary is prominent, and what happened with female prostitutes and female slaves? What is that story? HOw come the virgin mary mother? Where do we get the sexuality from then? And does the Mary mother not want to have sexuality? It is quite confusing!!
What this does to the identity of healthy female sexuality and healthy women..it becomes madonna-whore drama..
